***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hey everyone! I hope you all take care in this heat & listen to what you body tells you!!!

I will not be doing any outside work until I get home from work & will soak the pens down & then wait till sundown to feed.

I am sitting here this morning trying to figure out who told me they had a pear tree that I could rob. (thanks for the reminder Carla).

I've decided to go ahead and plant some more potato tires, but fill them w/ dirt and leaves since they didn't make any potatoes in the leaves. I'm going to use regular eating potatoes that have gone to root, and only going to go 2 tires high. I am going to put a tire in each place I want to plant a fruit tree this spring to prepare the ground for the trees. So it won't be any big deal if they don't bear again.

Does anyone know where I can find some duckweed?

Six sorry to hear about your knee! I will do my best to keep you entertained! LOL.

Good luck on the tater tires. I have a new plan for next spring on mine too. Along with a few other things.

I really would like some ice cream I'm going to see if my husband has his telepathy reciever on, going to send him vibes and see if he pics them up.

I could call and tell him I want some, but then it would be me who doesn't have self control, but if he brings it home out of the goodness of his heart as a thoughtful thing to do, well then it is completely off my conscious, I am just gracefully accepting a kindness.

The women will totally get my reasoning, the guys are just rolling their eyes.

good afternoon okies, just wanted to remind everyone the choctaw farmers market is open every saturday from 8am to 12pm. at the choctaw creek park on harper street just south of 23rd street. I am usually in the first spot and have plenty of squash, zucchini, cucumbers, okra, carrots, potatoes, sweet corn, peaches, and much more. I will also be talking to the farmers to see if anyone can make it on tuesday or wednesday evenings. I also sell from my farm which is on 63rd and triple x rd. I grow all organic vegetables and use only fertilezers from my chickens and left over cattle manure from my grandparents dairy farm.

Just checkin in form Duncan ok. We just started our flock with 10, 4 month old hens and soon after acquired 15 more laying hens from a friend. We now have 25 hens and so far so good.
