I know it. I'm painting a coop and sooo thankful I'm not on a roof  It's hot! But there's something I really love about sweating. It's the cheapest detox ever.

Do you need an extra pair of hands for roofing? I can come help you all day on Wednesday. I have my own gloves.

Thanks Coral, but we finished this side today. We did a metal roof, so hopefully the last one of our lives, and it was easier then shingles for the amatures for sure. But it takes 2 to rangle the 16 foot long metal sheets.

I spent most of today on the Kubota moving screenings from the pile to the driveway. Roger ordered two semi-truck loads to refinish the gravel driveway and for extending the gravel drive thru the gates.
While he was spraying on our 160 in Prague so I moved the screenings. This was day 2. I worked on it Saturday too. Moved the last scoop by 2:30. My sunburn from the first day actually blistered up under my t-shirt today. It is 101 here.

Okay, all, I have been trying to figure out just exactly how I can keep and house all the chickens I've been accumulating. I've decided I can't. Before I put it up on Craig's List, I thought I'd offer them up here...
I have one of Rinda's Cream Legbar roos, just about 12 weeks old. $20 (no crest)
I have two Old Path Farms Jubilee Orpington roos, about 13 weeks old. $25 each.

I have 2 bantam roos. One is a Gold Seabright. I don't know what the other is, but he is a friendly little thing. They were free to me. They'll be free to you.

I also have two EE roos. One is 30 weeks old, one is 19 weeks old. I am uncertain about those. Freezer camp is a possibility, but are they good for that? On that note, at what age should you cull them anyway? My Marans are 19 weeks old, starting to crow, but they don't feel very meaty just yet.

I'll post pics if anyone is interested. I am open to trade for the right chicks or hatching eggs.

I'm impressed! I'm sorry I didn't realize earlier that you were doing the roofing rather than paying to have it done.
