***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Okay fellow Okies, I'm looking for anyone who has white leghorns. I'm wanting to get some eggs but I only want 3 or 4 hens so I was hoping somebody here in Oklahoma might have some eggs they'd be willing to share with me.

i have some grown bird's i am going to sale 6 hen's an a roo if you dont find eggs did have some eggs but never got thim out of the nest in the last week an i am sure they split open with this cold they will be a yr may,,,

hey guys- is a scab on the bottom of the foot always bumble? because my roo has a big scab, i have treated it like bumble but can't find anything, put ichthamol on it and checked today, still nothing i can find- but one of the other hens had a little one and did the ichthamol after removing the core, then a couple hours later checked and it has drained and she is barely limping

Bumble foot is an advanced specific infection, so if the injury isn't infected, or isn't advanced enough to form the tell tale yellow, thick crapola, then it wouldn't be bumble, just an injury that left untreated could become bumble.

ahhh...ok, so if it hasn't become infected- i treat it as a normal wound then? its weird- his foot pad has no redness, just this black scab covering most of the bottom of his foot- would this be a case where i would use a general antibiotic on it?
