***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I have had a run in with a pair of Mississippi Kites before, they were not willing to take on the adults but they had no problem picking off my youngins. Whatever it is, it`s obviously a aerial predator so take care!

Here is the state level law pertaining to Raptors but I think the Federal law differs.

Good Saturday morning! I hope y`all have a great weekend!

Late Morning, Okies : )

I'm fighting the upper respiratory crud that's making its way though schools right now. No fever, just an annoying cough that won't go away. DH gets back from Washington, D.C. tonight, so maybe I'll have him take me to a walk-in clinic on Sunday.

Goats are doing well, chickens are fine, it's not freezing or broiling outside, so this is a perfect Oklahoma day.

Robin - It looks like a red-shouldered hawk to me, but it also reminds me a little of a Coopers hawk. If you can take more photos, I bet someone on here can identify the bird for you.

I thought Cooper's too, but they are pretty rare now in Oklahoma.
It looks more hawk-like.

Going to be sorting some older calves to take to market. The drought predictions are making the boys a little worried that hay will run out before any grass is growing enough to support the herd.
So they will take a load to market tomorrow and maybe another load next weekend.

Will be back on chicken eggs, etc around noon. Hope everyone enjoys the day.

Whoot hoo just got my frist egg for this year
Awesome! Here's a wish for many, many more : )

Soon you may have so many eggs that you'll start making videos like this one, sent by my brother.

Here's the URL where the video is. It's called "Talking Fried Egg." http://gifb.in/LFBV

Here's the link. I couldn't get it to work from here.

Edited to add: I left off the end tag. Now it's working.

Maybe he'll see my husband! Brandon just left for D.C. for his beginning trek to Turkey!

It sure is gloomy outside...thought we needed a little sparkle of sunshine.
Nice visit with the Jarvis family today.
Need to go thru some seed catalogs for orders for this year's plantings. Going to start my tomatoes from seed this year as well as some new pepper varieties.
Hardestry had their sign out about "Potatoes and Onions Arriving" so gardens are around the corner.

Nana, have you been able to find anyone for those Wyandottes yet?

It's freezing cold, again. And snowing. Again up here.

I am SO sick of snow I could puke.
Then I take it you wouldn't want to hear about our next 3 days of days in the mid 70's and overnight lows in the 60's, so shhhhhhh noone say anything.
