Buster it is awesome that your daughter is moving closer & wants to farm! I totally understand your situation, for months we debated on moving back into town & put our build on hold. Illness sets things back on the farm & it just snowballs. Taking care of yourself is the top priority! Thankfully you can live your farm dreams through your daughter. What an awesome father / daughter relationship you will nurture.
Taron turned 13 this weekend so we took several of her friends to great wolf lodge.....you can just imagine the fun of a road trip with 4 teenage girls.
Thanks, jcat. You know, you are welcome to use our processing equipment any time you want, don't you? We could always load it on a trailer and haul it to Cement.

And there is a Lawton market meeting tomorow night at 6. Bylaws, dues, minimum pricing etc will be on the table.

Hope you are feeling better. Sorry i didn't get by to visit when you were in the hospital.

Lots of snow here ... little bits of sleet so far and it's still coming down heavy. Glad I don't have to work tomorrow cause I probably wouldn't be going in anyway. Here's pics of the new babies - 14 in all. Still have three eggs in the bator unhatched but they were put in a few days after the others so I'll give them another couple of days.

We put the waterer in and I showed three of them how to drink and the rest just lined up and joined in. Never had that happen before. I must say though ... hatching babies from an incubator is rather addicting. Tractor supply said we could post a notice on their board but that they could only do national suppliers for in store purchase. I guess that's something to keep in mind if we ever get land and can hatch enough off to supply the "nation".

Just a few of the hundreds (literally) of tomato plants that I have growing. It never fails, when I plant one seed per hole maybe three out of a nine pack will germinate but when I plant three four in each hole they ALL germinate. Sigh. I'm uppotting all of them and hoping to sell some at auction or to neighbors and things.

A few of my squash plants that are growing way too fast ... especially given the snow we are having now. Lol.

The ducks having a swim yesterday in a whole two inches of water. Why am I such a sucker for ducks? They look up at me and my heart melts.

i hope all my okie friends are staying dry and warm it is nasty out there

i finaly got some pics of my bantam la fleche i will see if i can get pics to upload lol
I have a trio of LF LaFleche. They are very beautiful but I don't think I will keep them. They are so shy and flighty. I like friendly birds like my Cochins and Showgirl. Even most of my Ameraucanas are more friendly than my LaFleche. I got them as 1 mo. old chicks but they never warmed up to me. They are such elegant birds though. i am trying to take some pictures but they always hide behind the coop in their pen.
