***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Does anyone know where I can find some Jersey Giants???

You might post your search on the Heritage thread under Breeds. Someone over there would know who to suggest as a breeder...who might be breeding in Oklahoma or nearby.

LOL!! cant wait for the day when my drake can drown a hen or two!
The geese have been doing the water dance since Ninya started laying back in Noveember....as long as I keep their kiddy pool full of clean water. Guess that means there have been a lot of fertile eggs all winter...she has laid an egg every other day since Nov 15...60 eggs so far. I always thought geese took a vacation from laying for the winter.

So a lady called and asked to put her 7 year old son on the phone to let me explain why the daddy duck is trying to drown the momma duck in the pond. Once I explained to the lady what the ducks were actually doing that was a conversation that she fortunately said that she would have with her son.

keep them cool , about 55 to 60 , can save them from day layed to about a week , and then viability goes down from there , then place in your incubator wait 7 to 10 days candle , toss the clear ones and continue on to day 18 or 19 , stop during , and wa la got it licked for day or two when they start popping out , i use a steady 100 degrees for temp on incubator , apparently it causes me to hatch more pullets than roos but owell lol
