***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Well, missed the storms last night up here in the north country. It still rained all day long and was grey and miserable. Today is sunny finally. Went out to find that my snap peas were blooming, the cherry tree is covered in flowers, AND drum roll please, I have a tomato set on one of my early tomato plants!

All that lugging plants inside and outside has paid off! We're still planning on being at Poops, but I may be asleep on my feet. I have a writing convention in Norman all day Friday, then we have to move our son out his dorm in Stillwater, and then drive home and back to Newcastle for Poops with turkeys and plants on board. Our contribution to lunch may be chips and cookies, lol. Not sure when I'll have time to make anything else.

I finally got to eat something today!!!! Woo hoo thought I was going to starve to death. It has been crazy busy on the ambulance today.

The hail nailed us...trashed the garden...the onions, potatoes, peas cabbage etc look like they have been thru a shredder. At least the plants in the hot tub room are lovely. The fruit trees are missing leaves, small twigs and have bark damage. A broken window on our rent house and all the light covers on the dump truck and trailers are shattered...but... No animal injuries.

Hope everyone survived the storms.

I was wondering if you got the hail after our friends in North Harrah got it. Well, sometimes that sort to damage makes plants come back stronger. Glad none of your animals were hurt. One of our friend's neighbors has a big lump on his head from trying to save his truck. Ouch

Hugs and sympathetic pats on the back to all that sustained storm damage...I know how that feels. The Piedmont tornado that came thru here missed our place but the hail sure didnt. We had broken skylights in the barns and shop...the number of beaten down plants and trees about broke my heart. I couldnt believe how many green leaves were on the ground...like carpet.
We cleaned the shop today. I am so tired my hair hurts, but it looks great. We made tons of progress and I think we know where everything is now.
Today my daughter saw a road kill racoon on the side of the road which someone had tied onto its paw a balloon which cheerfully proclaimed, "Get Well Soon!" She sent me a picture and I must say I couldnt breathe for about 5 minutes because I was laughing so dang hard. Ya take your joy where you can get it! I will gladly show the pic to anyone who asks at POOPS!!

We stopped by the Yukon sale. Hardly any birds or eggs- imagine it will continue to grow though. They are going to have it 2nd & 4th Saturdays. Hopefully they will improve the lay out insidethe barn. Was hard to get around or see anything since it was so crowded. There is a port potty out back if you need to go to the bathroom. We only stayed about 30 min. I would guess the sale lasted about 2 hours. When we first started going to Newcaslte it only lasted 2 hours & look how it has grown!

Nana sorry the hail storm got you! I have decided our place attracts hail. We are finally planting our tomatoes today..... Fingers crossed the weather doesn't take them.
Fat Louie is not improving. I am going to spend some time with him today & see if i can get a better guess of what is going on. DH wants to cull him, but I know Taron will never allow it.

Quote: well, from what i have read nystatin should work, also suggested is copper sulfate, but that can be toxic, it is helping him some, the nystatin, but he sure hates it
I use to use a q-tip and ACV on my kids when they got thrush, I would assume it would work on birds, swab the mouth and put some in the water.....
that would be the organic ACV right?
lol...when my kids were babies, I had no idea that there was a difference...so either one I guess, organic probably being the best.
