***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Kass - Love the new baby pictures!

Robin - Looking forward to POOPS : )

One of my broodies surprised me with her babies today. That means my two other broodie hens ought to see chicks tomorrow or Thursday.

This Cornish sat on a dozen eggs, and it looks like ten hatched. I'm going to have to check the nest tomorrow, to be sure, but today she wouldn't let me get close enough to get a good count. Look at all those red heads!

Thanks, your new chickies are cutie patooties too.

Ya'll make this the hardest thread to keep up with! Such great photos and so many new people. Imma just gonna jump right back in like I never left....if I start talking about the stuff you all have been posting I am going to write a tome instead of a post. Pretty chickens and gardening stuff just makes me GUSH.

I am coming to POOPS, and bringing my chicken friend, however I have to leave early so my daughter can go to a birthday party. I'm going to wear my POOPS shirt from last time.

True Chicken Confession:

I have for the first time in years not had any babies to raise this spring.
Not. One. I feel so dirty admitting that here.

I completely resisted every single chick at Atwoods and I have been there like 15 times already this spring.
Didn't even flinch at the ones that were giving me the eye.
I already told my husband that streak was verry likely to be broken at POOPS.

Not that I am planning on anyone coming home with me that he knows of....I'll just bring the pet carrier in case my friend ends up needing something for transport. Heh.

I have been looking over the list, and I already know that I am in deep deep like with many of the babies that are coming. I do not know exactly who but anyone with brabanters, cream legbars, polish, marans, americaunas and anything else cute or blue should be on the lookout. I have nothing blue in my flock and nothing with a barred pattern...and nothing that lays a colored egg. I feel that needs to be corrected.

I can't wait to see you all there!

Kelly

ok, where exactly will POOPS be held? I haven't committed, because I am not sure I can make it, but just in case, does anyone have an address I can stick in the GPS? And could I bring birds if I do? Or am I even allowed to come since I haven't committed?

Ive seen coyotes running around at all hours while deer hunting and around the house they hunt mostly nights and early mornings but do whatever they want.. he will keep coming back till he gets what he wants or all of them, personally id take him out, if you cant. have someone trap him not to be graphic but id shoot him.

I would love to take him out. I have been keeping them cooped until I can supervise them in the evenings. Hopefully I can spot him when I am home and get him. Also thought about borrowing a trap that way I wouldn't have to be home and then could take care of when I do get home. Just so aggravated that they don't get to free range all day like they are use to doing. I don't like making them stay cooped. Thanks for the input.

Oh my gosh I had a good chuckle over your post. LOL! I can't wait to meet all you fantastic people I've been chatting with here. I can't get to the auctions much with all my little ones but we are COMING to POOPS! I will have 3 things on your list... but in very limited quantities. Specifically told hubby not to list on craigslist this week but people have been coming out of the woodwork for Cream Legbars and Marans since Saturday. Finally started saying the CLs were all being held and they can't have them- HA! Got to have SOME at POOPS!
