***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Does anyone have Old English Game Banty's? My cousins Inlaws who lost their house lost everylast one he had... He had close to 50.. When i went to help them sift through the rubble i found over 20 dead by what used to be their house... And there were many more dead in yards down the street... He's older and retired and the first thing he said to me was, "they're all gone... All of them...".. Its easy to say Old English Bantys were his little hobby... And i was wondering if anyone would be able to donate some to him when they get relocated and settled in...
there are sure to be folks here that can help- i don't, but keep us posted when they will be ready for more

Just checking in. Hoping everyone is okay tonight. We had sirens go off yesterday and got some hail damage. Squash plants look like swiss cheese, asparagus and bluberries pretty beat up too, but birds were okay. Stupid turkeys wouldn't go in. Was in Wichita most of today so didn't know what happened until late this evening.

I have been watching this thread since the original was started even though I'm not an Okie, but I am a very close neighbor (4 hours away from OK city) and we've been experiencing horrible weather too. I hope you all take precautions and stay safe until all this is over. Lots of prayers coming your way

Flash flood warning in Haskell this morning. DH took the Dodge 3500, but I've decided not to risk it in my Tacoma. The water across the road before the highway is too deep. There's no telling what the road bed looks like, or if it's even there.

I'm going to put my rain gear back on in a few minutes and finish feeding the animals. I tore the shoulder on my poncho earlier, and my feed bucket kept filling with water. I'm going to attempt a repair with duct tape. It's waterproof, right?

duck tape is called that for a reason! :)

had to move the silkies again, thought i had the run fixed, but they were silky-ankle deep in water, had a dry coop to go into but that was beyond their thinking this morning... silly things

ducklings are thrilled with the weather- by the way, they ducklings are from swedish blue, harlequin and pekin- so why does one have a poof on his head?? too darn cute

the chickens are hanging out on the porch, the only dry place around- the dogs are hiding, so its better the chickens are close to home

stay safe everyone, we have another round today of this weather- has anyone thought of posting a check in thread for okies?
