***OKIES in the BYC III ***

i hearded my in to the coup for 3mos before i gave up they never went in on there own and one by one they disappeared. so what is you trick for training them?

Don't feed them till evening. Then only 'in' the coop. Once they're inside eating, lock them in.

May take a while, but they'll get used to going in and sleeping there.

Junebug, good to see you on, and Rebecca is in good shape and spirits. I am very happy to hear you are too. There are a good number of us that took damage to one degree or another but somehow by the sheer grace of god we are all safe.

Eramsey99,
If you are looking for some replacement OE of good, or show quality i keep Brown Red, Birchen, and Silver Blue which I have several of. I do not have enough Columbian or Opal to share at this point otherwise I would offer them as well. You can reach me via pm I will send you my number if he is interested.

I picked up this little guy at the Newcastle auction to support the Junior show.

I think he is a Brown Red OEGB. If he would like to have him he is more than welcome. I have no problem housing him until he is settled and ready for chickens. Just let me know.
That would be a young BB Red

hi - i have a broody sitting on some fav eggs- they are due to go in lockdown sunday, when i checked, one has a small crack, he is moving in there, but not ready yet to hatch, i moved it to the bator- is there anything i need to do special?

Robyn, where is the crack located? If it is at the air sac end, the egg should be fine for these last few days. If it is along the side and the egg is leaking, you can use a thin coat of melted wax along the crack to seal it. Another strategy is to use a little super glue and a piece of tissue.

I haven't been on in a while, but wanted to say I'm O.K. and ask if anyone has heard from Muesky. Here are some pictures...I was at my shop in Moore, watching the tornado on TV and also out my front window. The tornado was directly in front of me and coming my way. I don't have an underground here so I decided the safest thing for me to do was get out of its path.. a closet just isn't good enough for an F5. Got in my truck and headed north on the Service Rd. Went to the 12th St. overpass and took these pictures looking back...met channel 9 stormchaser David Payne there, taking the pictures that I had just been watching on TV. These two pictures make a panarama if placed side by side...

Here is a map of the tornado path...the white spots are my shop and the 12th St. overpass (I-35) where I took the pictures.

So glad you are ok!
