I read water meters for 3 days every month, luckily I have found only a few snakes and I read the meters in the rural part of Blanchard. I do kill about 5 Black widows a month though, they love water meter boxes.

I'm sitting at the public library using thier wifi (that I didn't know they had) I went to the sale tonight and sold a few things not too many folks there,

I had a rough month last month the storms missed me with the exception of one good bolt of lightning that took out my computer so I'm back to being offline till I get a new one,

I know some of you had met my wife Jiena a few years ago and also know we had been seperated for a while but she passed away on the 13th not sure yet what the cause was but whatever it was she was much too young,,

Anywho, I'll be back on as I can and more when I replace my fried computer, I hope every one was spared too much trauma from the storms....

I haven't posted in a long while. Just checking in. sorry for everyones losses, these storms have been horrible. People lost, houses lost, lots of live stock lost. so far the Good Lord has watched over us. Just missed by the 1st tornado, less than 1/4 mile. Just had debris around the yard. Friday 4 trees knocked down. The ground has gotten so soft that the wind pushed over a huge hackberrie. Of course it knocked down a fence and landed in a cane growth. But no shingles were messed up on my house. And my ugly chicken house, that i made from scraps i had and found on the road, was un harmed. I wish more people had been as fortunate.

MJ thanks for the auction report. I saw the wooden cabinet similar to card catolog. Did they sale it? I was so tempted to put in an absentee bid, but think the new house is already overflowing & dont know where it would go! I finally got enough meds that I conquered the headache, 99% are it is just from the stress of house building. I ran about 3 dz keets to Newcastle, but didnt stay since DH needed me to get house supplies. Keets are still hatching, Taron has a waiting list for orders, but she isn't here & I can't interrupt the list--- so to auction they went.

As far as the Blanchard auction, many of us use to go. However the Newcastle sale is the larger auction for poultry. Excited the auction is coming back to Cement, sure hope it turns out to be good!!! Will be 6 on 2 & 4th Saturdays.
Ha! Its mine now!
I had to pay $30.00 though. That was I planned to be my top bid and I guess the other bidder had that as their top too. I think I only payed $25.00 for my large card catalog.

Taron's keets went for very good prices compared to chicks.

Todd - Great looking coops! I'm sure Cathiesue and her mom will love them. The tractor I bought from you continues to impress me. Regardless of the weather, I've always got clean and dry hens, feed, and eggs.

Elwood - Sorry to hear about your computer. I lost one to a lightning strike a few years ago. Please post a link to the site where I can get a ladies hat, the feminine counterpart to your rugged chapeau. I've ordered a sun visor with a cap that zips on or off, very girly, but it would be nice to have something rugged I could wear, especially in bad weather.

Kass - Has the water receded? Were any other vehicles trapped on Main Street?

There is what appears to be an oegb rooster and another rooster as well as a couple pot belly pigs in the OKC animal shelter. Won't someone spring them from jail? I live in the city so can't have roosters.

Im fixing to start building another 4x8 raised coop. Im going to make this one a little different from the last one. I really like the last one I built. I will keep you guys up dated with pics.
