Does anyone know if they will be having an auction in Blanchard or Newcastle this Saturday? Also, are there any other sales I don't know about that I might need to check out?

Hope you all have a great 4th weekend. Be safe and have fun.

I'm also looking for tomatoes and peppers if anyone close to the Lindsay area is selling. We're wanting enough for about 50 pts. of salsa.

That is a really cool idea! Where do you buy adobe fire bricks though?
Fire brick is used in kilns and as a base for a wood burning stove.

Farmer's markets are good sources. Shawnee has a good one next door to the Shawnee Farm Center on Hardesty road. Crow's farms always has plenty of many types of veggies at reasonable prices when yu buy by the 1/2 or full bushel. They also sell canning tomatoes thru the Fruit Market on Main Street. You have to pre-order...25 # tomatoes in a 1/2 bushel box.
