***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Forced a hen into a wire cage this afternoon to break her- she went broody yesterday but it is WAY too hot to be stuffed in a wooden box trying to hatch an empty nest!!!

I have lost a few juvenile chchIcks in the last few days. That's why I installed the mister, lol I hope it helps. I give them fresh water and all my coops are under trees

Working on getting misters set up but it won't get finished till this weekend.

Im sure your birds will enjoy it. So far all my adult birds seem to be doing fine.

I decided to join a quilt block swap here on byc, I don't usually quilt fussy little peiced patterns, but figured it would be something to do inside in the air conditioning during these 100+ days and use up some of my huge stash of fabric. Most all the fabric was from my stash I only bought one yard of the duck fabric to have enough of the right colors to complete the blocks.


Here are the two versions I'm going to do a duck and a nonduck.

Thanks, I think there are still spots available in the swap if you wife wants to join, plenty of time to sew them they aren't due until mid October.

i think everyone must have melted in the heat.... spending morning out with the featherkids, then inside to draw or knit-

is permithrin safe to use on these kittens? they are crawling with fleas

also, anyone need a dead fridge? ours died, free for anyone to pick up...
