Kane the Delaware bantams are really nice birds, but I had to downsize somewhat , to many chores and to many years .

Don, do you know how closely related the Del. Bantams are? I'm going to beg Nana for some of their eggs in the future and I'm trying to stay away from real closely related birds. I have this theory that they'll be healthier and stronger by breeding unrelated birds. Do you think there's anything to that? I think you (of all people) would know.

Ksane, I have Delaware eggs under broody hens and they are developing so the fertility test is positive.
.

I shall commence to begging lol!

Ok, who said a prayer under their breath for my unhatched eggs? Fess up, someone must have. I just love my big Brown Red Cochin boy, Lillith. He's in with the 7 Orloff girls I got as chicks summer of 2012. Well 5 of those unhatched eggs were from Lillith and his Orloff and I was just sick at the thought that I'd killed them. I wanted them really bad. The one I helped last night is out and drying and another was pipped this morning!! I don't know if either will make it but it's pretty amazing. I wrote everything down and I *didn't set any of those eggs days later. I don't know why I might get 2 out of them 3 days late :-0
So keep praying for Lillith's babies!

I have learned to caponize and am trying to hatch out scaless carrier chickens.

Kassaundra~ Scaless chickens??? How do you get a scaless chicken?

Bill Thanks & good to see you too.

NanaKat I will tell her hello, she is getting so big & doesn't have as much time for me like most teenagers.

I got a few eggs from Arkansas, and got one male carrier from that hatch, and one female carrier (his daughter) who just started laying (stillpullet eggs now) The next batch I set will be all his and the most naked of my NN females including the female carrier.

I want to add to Kyzmette's hatching project. Does anyone have salmon favorelle LF or bantam hatching eggs available? Or d'uccles? Or wheaten ameraucana?

Ok it has been a while but you are looking to get a nakid chicken like Joe had?

Sorry I am having trouble for some reason.....

Yes, I would like naked chickens, but even if not at least as little feathering as possible. Coral wants to try Naked chickens too b/c of her husbands allergies.
