***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Ok it has been a while but you are looking to get a nakid chicken like Joe had?

Sorry I am having trouble for some reason.....
Yes, I would like naked chickens, but even if not at least as little feathering as possible. Coral wants to try Naked chickens too b/c of her husbands allergies.

I want to add to Kyzmette's hatching project. Does anyone have salmon favorelle LF or bantam hatching eggs available? Or d'uccles? Or wheaten ameraucana?

Shelby, I have Bantam Faverolles but the reason I don't hatch them is they're brother-sister. The problems with that hadn't occurred to me until recently. I can save some for you if you want to risk it, they're nice quality.

Is the next Auction in Newcastle next weekend ?

No auction in Newcastle til Nov 2nd because they're having the poultry show there Oct 19th.

That is really cool. I know the one Joe had was so interesting but he lost it before it got full grown. Glad you are going to do it since you love to take pictures & I know you will post them!

The chicken genetics stuff I've read so far suggests that the first generation of sibling birds shouldn't be an issue. Continued inbreeding, however, would set up some highly risky potential for negative outcome.

After I have several female carriers I would like to get a not related or at least not closely, from Joe or the university.
