***OKIES in the BYC III ***

When I showed Gary the comb the first thing he said was "devil horns" and Ardra was the only female reference to "devil" that I knew about even though ficticious, but being a huge Piccard fan (I like ST, but if I had to choose it would be Piccard oh and Checote', (sp) he was awesome too)

I figured you meant that one, but I was totally digging the constellation reference with that feather pattern!
And that I am a Gemini! lol

POOR CHICKEN!!!! We have a dog that occasionally gets the neighbors chickens. The boy will shoot it with a bb gun but that isn't going to keep it away. Sad to say but my husband wont tolerate it and will probably take care of the animal if it sets foot near our chickens. Have you talked to your neighbor about the dog killing your chickens? If you have show chickens or ones that you have paid a good amount of money for then you would think you could file a police report and let them know that it is their dog. If you don't do a camera system there are always those tree cameras that hunters use. Those are pretty reliable. Then you have proof that it is their dogs. Wave those in their face and threaten to sue them, maybe that will get them to think again? Poor chicken.

Lol! Yes splash is what I meant. Im not keen on the black ones but I like the look of the splash Ameraucanas! They are so pretty! I need to stop looking at your chicken breeds on your site or I'm going to want more! My list what I will want from you is Ameraucanas, French black copper marans, Isbar, and Cream Legbar. If possible I would like to buy day old Ameraucana and maran chicks then the other two breeds eggs. My husband is pretty picky on how much I buy my chickens for. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I have a show quality chicken out of all of them since my daughter has shown interest in showing. Just let me know what I can order and what the costs are/quantity min. and I will start planning on an order.

Okay, Puff was drinking her water for me, so I dropped an egg yolk in water, boiled it, then ran it through the blender to make sure it was smooth. I put some poly-vi-sol drops in it, and got her to drink it! I just rigged a stand in her tub so the cup of yolk broth is up high enough that she doesn't have to bend over and stretch her neck, since the pain might discourage her from drinking. Can you think of anything else that would disperse nutrients into a broth and yet retain a watery consistency?Would tomato juice be good, or would the acid be bad right now?

Kyz, can you get your hands on some crickets at the pet store? Bugs are one of the best sources of protein and I bet she'd eat a bunch of them at a time.
Kass, I love that chick's comb! You just can't process that one! I'll buy it from you if you were planning on processing it (you can caponize him though lol). Man, he's cool :-D
Edit: Kyz, I would definitely not use tomato juice. Water with vitamins and honey are good. Or just water by itself if she doesn't have a problem with it.
