***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I got home and the one that had pipped was just barely zipped. I watched for an hour and the only movement was breathing. I wanted to make sure it wasn't shrinkwrapped so (after scrubbing hands) I slipped it quickly out and into a warm damp paper towel and took just a little shell and even less membrane off, then slipped it back into the bator in the pic below. Should I help it the rest of the way? It's breathing and peeping.

Oh Bardies, I'm so sorry to hear about your chickie! How sad! I would be very teary over that.

I woke up this morning and my eggs looked EXACTLY the way they did last night. NOTHING happened after that first pip. And then I had to come to WORK! I think hatching eggs should be a valid reason for calling in.

My name is Tina and I'm a chickenoholic. I fell off the wagon! I knew if I got onto BYC I would have chickens. I convinced myself I would just say hi to everybody and read posts. That I would wait until I am completely moved to get chickens again. Today hubby went and picked up two hens from someone on Craigslist. I was just browsing. I don't know how it happened!

A block I have been working on for an upcoming swap.

It has a few problems, but it was my practice block. The bottom left 1/4 block is off on size I trimmed it wrong. The rt side is larger b/c before I realized I cut the one block wrong I thought the block was going to be to small so I made the second half a tiny bit bigger. Over all I think the colors and placement work though. They won't all be this same star color, but I think the inner turquoise will pop w/ all the other star colors too.

Anyway I couldn't be happier w/ the block over all.
very nice

. I am so impressed with your talent and skill! I'm waiting to see if you make two Dr Who quilts so I can save my dollars to buy one!

How exciting! I haven't hatched eggs yet. Good luck!

Groucho, my LF Cochin cockerel, formerly known as Lola. I swear he didn't have any saddle feathers 3 weeks ago. This photo was taken last week and his saddle feathers are even longer today.

My 3/4 Mille Fleur , 1/4 Mottled Cochin cockerels O'Maley and O'Brien with their mom, Pearl, and their sister Fiona. The three hatched on St. Patrick's day hence their names.
One boy is going to Robin whenever we can make the transfer.

Ike, my 1/2 Mille fleur, 1/2 Mottled cochin roo with some of his girls. Two of the girls are going to
Miohippus

This is Pixie, my smallest Mille Fleur hen. She is best pals with Peaches, my huge, LF Buff cochin hen.

Robin, this is O'Brien. He has the best type of the two boys and has more white/buff in his pattern.

Ike and the girls again

Beaudreau, looking mean but he is actually tame and very sweet.

Beaudreau has two girlfriends, both splashes. I am looking for 1 or 2 Blue Marans girls for him.
