Look at my little Zima walking for me!!!!! I love you guys so much! Having such great people to help makes a world of difference.

She still doesn't quite have it, so I'll rebrace her for another day or two and do more chicken physical therapy.

@Katie1500 I'm so sorry for your losses. I used to think raccoons were cute until I saw what one did to a pen full of chicks. Nasty foul evil buggers.

Same here I used to think they were cute it the time B.C. (before chickens)

Ha agreed. They just happen to be too smart for their own good. I'll be setting some traps up later this week and see what comes after the bait. It's so frustrating bc the ones I lost were SO promising with color and the silkies genetics were on point. They were supposed to be my moms surprise Christmas present when I take them to TN for the holidays. Oh well... Guess I'll find her some more

I have had the band-aids work for a number of chicks. It almost always works like magic! I put the padded part around the legs of feather-footed bantam chicks and the sticky parts meet in the middle. Then when it is time to come off I use surgical scissors to cut up thru the padded part and it all comes off with out tearing any leg fluff.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!  How is the other one doing??

Dorkie is doing pretty well, and thank you for asking! She's still not as active as I would like to see, but her head has come up and she's eating and drinking. She's not as fluffy as I expect, for some reason. I think the vitamins are helping. They're going to be a hatchling staple now.
