***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Everyone near Jones ok after the earthquake? We were eating near Meridian and Reno and I thought I felt one then thought it was somebody bumping the booth.
it was an earthquake,.... 11 miles ene of Edmond. 5km deep. Currently rated as a 4.5 (but these change). I felt it in Newcastle. There were reports of it as far south as Ardmore and then in Texas further to the west. Strange how these work...must be a pattern down somewhere in the rock below us - or, now that I think about it, a population pattern? If a earthquake falls in a forest and there is no one there to hear it, does it rattle the ear?

My best earthquake story, well, of one here anyway, Is when DH was deployed in Afghanistan. I was at the computer, felt an earthquake, got onto the USGS site (nothing there). I called my neighbor - "did you feel an earthquake?" He said no. Then, got a call, from Afghanistan! DH says: "did you feel the earthquake?"

Seems as though he as a had a friend there that used to work with a friend at Tinker AFB. How cool! Then, finally, it was on the website.

We were woken up by one in Japan that really scared us. We were sleeping on the floor in at traditional futon and the futon (and floor) rolled like a wave!

I was in an ambulance driving down ice covered roads w/ chains on the tires so I didn't 'feel" anything.

You be careful- we prepared for it, so it isn't necessary for us to be out- Coral knows our road- no getting out till it melts..

so far i have most the birds in one coop to keep warm, 3 guineas decided to sleep in the trees tonite, no one ever said they have common sense- they are safer on the porch. Looks like we will be in for quite a winter-

You may have quite a wait before one of your guineas gets the community brain cell again, sorta like lightening strikeing twice.
