Wrap it in towels and say a prayer.
The eggs were started Monday, so they were 5 days in. Power went out about 5:30 AM. I wrapped the incubator in every spare blanket I could find and the power was out for about 9-10 hours by my guess. When we left for my nephew's Bday, then Mazzios and a movie at 1 we saw a road crew and stopped to talk. He said they were nearly done clearing the lines of branches but that there was a broken pole leading to our neighborhood- we were the last 20 houses without power- and once it was replaced everything should "light up." (his words, not mine.Rinda....how far along was you hatch in the bator?
Has anyone heard from Coral?(Poco)?
looks dreary out there, we didn't get hit hard here- was afraid we would-
on rats and mice, try some pepperment oil or camphor moth balls- supposed to help- they don't like strong smells- we have been battling them this year under the tubs
So cute! Is that one of the things?
Jackie O looks so dashing in dark fur hat - reminds me of a Russain in the snow!
Thanks!I think Coral is in Texas right now.
Have a facebook friend whose broody left the nest at 40 degrees for a day, towards mid hatch, ice cold, so they put them in the bator just in case, they all hatched last week- so they may be okThe eggs were started Monday, so they were 5 days in. We will know when I candle at day 10 I suppose! 3 of the eggs were from the Shawnee show, we were admiring some beautiful Polish when the breeder came over to talk and she gave us 3 eggs that her hens laid during the show. Really hoping those ones make it...
Haven't heard from her but I heard that some parts of Muskogee/Haskell were out of power for a long time after the last storm, not sure how they fared after this one.
