***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Sharing a new picture of my frizzled silkie pullet, I just love her!

she's beautiful!! got love the pose on her!!

MJ- thought you'd like this pic, i put the boy in a section of their coop today, was going to give it a few days, only he didn't stay there, checked him tonite, and he was a happy camper!

As an aside, for everybody who has to have white noise to sleep (like me), there's a great white noise app called Relax and Sleep that I use. It has a sheep as an icon and includes a timer.

Yeah! He is used to hanging in a group, glad he is getting along.

Robyn, O'Brien looks satisfied and Shasta seems satisfied with him too! Sure do like seeing her Birchen markings so clearly too.

Moving a dozen eggs into the hatcher this evening...they are due to hatch on the 30th but may start early since the temp was a half degree up. Waiting to see what pops from the Columbian rooster at four years of age...so far all 12 are viable. The next dozen is due on the 3rd. He is currently with his best CW daughter, two Black Birchen daughters and the four older CW hens as well as the two better Blue hens. I had moved them indoors when all the bad weather hit to protect them and the girls started laying like crazy....so the hatching begins.
The two Black Cochin pullets I bought from Larry Dye at Shawnee have started to lay. They are beautiful hens and are going to be nice additions to the breeding program. Pictures to come....

We have Christmas with our girls tomorrow. Supposed to be a nice weather day so the kiddos can enjoy outdoors too.

I was able to do Shasta's beak, i did notice she seems light- so may shift to fermented feed, maybe she can get it better that way- she was the first of the girls to come investigate the new guy..:)
