***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Ah, well I finally feel better... For the most part. I've been sick since Sunday night.

I'm hoping I will be better by Saturday or Sunday.

To my fellow Okie Whovians, I have about 1/3 of the Weeping angel sewn, I'm pleased w/ how it's turning out so far. I am making them for a wall hanging set and had a brilliant idea, I am going to use painted embroider hoops as frames, since the Gallifrian language is written in circles.

Shelbydog and I aren't the kinds of friends who share a cup of coffee at Chicken Anonymous... we're the friends who wake up in Mexican jails with feathers in our bras and farmers pressing charges.

My computer broke so I'm on my phone exclusively. I haven't been able to keep up as I would like. Here are pictures of my eggs. I only have two hens and we get two eggs most days so I think they're doing great! The blue egg is the prettiest sky blue color. I'm so glad hubby picked an Easter egger.

I put out a layer of straw on top of the snow for my birds yesterday because they wouldn't even come out of their house. They all just piled in the door looking at the snow. One barred rock walked out and then ran back in and complained for about twenty minutes.

Some of them are sure good at complaining.

Of course. They sure are friendly and are always looking for treats. Didn't take them long to train me.

I love cochins, especially LF cochins.. I have found that the LF cochins seem to be more laid back and since they are so big most other breeds leave them alone.. Cochin rooster fights are really pretty funny.. They flare their neck feathers at each other, bob up and down, give each other stink eye, while posturing than it is over...

Yep, they are clowns. that is why I had to change Lola's name to a boy's name I chose "Groucho". If I get more they may be Larry, Curly and Moe, or Laurel and Hardy.

You probably sat in the back of the bus when you were kids....

Our bus driver was so "mean" because we had to file in and sit 3 to a seat and fill up the bus from the back to the front. My brothers and I only lived 15 min. from town but had to ride for an hour because they always set up the route where we got on first because they new that the Gigax kids would always behave for the whole ride. So there I was a little first grader sitting in the very back corner seat surrounded by big high school kids and every time the bus stopped the exhaust would rise up into the bus and I would be sick by the time I got to school.
