***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I just got some great black copper marans eggs last night - but going to set them today - I CAN NOT tell which end is the pointy end....I tried candling but can only find the air cell on a few of them. On the marans thread, they suggested 'feeling' for the pointy end, and then if all else fails, a quick float.

I really don't want to damage the bloom...

Any thoughts or advice?

Set them and check for air cell next week. If they're upside down, turn them. Unless they were shipped and have detached air cells, that is.

Let True5 have it. She had the ISO posted first.

I want to buy the incuview bator after I get tax refund.

I responded before I saw Sheryl's post (sorry if I mangled the spelling of your name!). I have these styrofoam things to use until I get my chiller converted.

Hey, peeps! It's another beautiful day!

Caramel junior, now rechristened Toffee! A ball of buttery yellow fluffy happiness! And the best part? You can't tell by the picture, but she's muffed, which makes her a muffed golden sexlink egglaying machine! Whooot! :D

As long as she stays a she, that is. :/

It was me. If you plan on selling it let me know. I might buy it off you. Might as well since I need to stop thinking I will be done with hatching after this batch. Ha! Im in denial.
False alarm. The incubator I thought I still had is currently in a classroom in Tulsa. DH reminded me that at the end of last school year I left the house with an incubator under one arm and two dozen eggs under the other. A month later I went back to Tulsa and picked up the chicks, but I left the incubator with the teacher so that she could hatch duck eggs next year.

I have the empty box here on a shelf, which is why I thought I still had the incubator. Sorry about that.
