Quote: It gets worse every year. People watch the Obituaries for the elderly, and their addresses. Then on the day of the funeral they clean out their their house.
Iff possible try again come spring time - it is possible that they weren't all collected and you might see some popping up.

I am now looking at the Brinsea 20 Advance. The foam incubators just sound like a bit too much replacement and everyone seems to have cleaning issues with them.

So do most of you think that a turner is not necessary? How many times a day do they need be be turned/tilted without one? The turner itself is over $100

! If I don't get one I can spend more on eggs later LOL (manically grinning)

Thank you guys! I can't wait to join the ranks of the hatching obsessed!!!

I don't get to obsessive over it, I think about any odd number will do. Odd so it isn't always the same direction for overnight. Somedays for us it just gets turned 3 (morning, evening and night) other days when one of us is home more it may get rotated every couple of hours.

We have a heavy fog that is like drizzle since 3:30 pm. Had to wear my hoodie to put the birds to coop. Going back out to lock them in the ground was really wet.

Chicks are all doing well with their moms. Nimble little things popping in and out of the nests to run around and return to mom when she beckons.
I took pictures and will post.

I have the brinsea eco, with the turner & love it. The eco is designed where you can just turn the incubator, instead of the eggs, each time you walk in the room- a couple times a day & the eggs should be fine.
I wish the eco was easier to clean, but it has given us multiple 100% hatches.

Anyone have NPIP Call Ducks?

Check Hayneedle dot com. They often have 10% off general merchandise sales, and their prices are already competitive.
