We are going to try to be there with my 4 in tow- ages 8, 6, 4, 2. Last time I took electronics for them and they lasted 2 hours but they would much rather have someone to play with!
2, 4, 6, 8....Looks like it is time for another, are you incubating human style also?

Sounds like someone may need to go on the Maury Povich show!!!!

HAHAHA Almost made me spit my drink out

So I got home and was gathering eggs, and found green poo in one of the nest boxes. For that reason only, I turned to throw the eggs over the back fence, and as I was hauling my arm back I saw a sea of feathers outside the fence. Then my eyes focused and I realized there was a large lump smack in the middle of the feathers. I'm counting myself fortunate beyond belief right now, because it seems that Orlando, my darling SFH roo, got out of the pen and a dog got to him. I can't believe he was left alive.

I can only assume Floyd, the primary roo, chased Orlando until he flew over the fence. This means I have to make a decision about whether or not I'm keeping Floyd. He's a fantastic roo to the hens, but Orlando is my sweet boy. Or maybe build another pen. Does anybody know any other ways to solve something like this?
