I also have a brinsea and have constant problems w/ shrink wrapping, no matter what the humidity is, even w/ condensate on the walls of the inside of the bator.

I had trouble with my Brinsea Advance with shrink wrapping also . I read somewhere to use a separate hatcher at lockdown . Bought a Genesis digital and no more problems . I love my Brinsea and wanted to keep using it so this solved my problem . I would like to say tho I use the dry hatch method , about 29 RH until lockdown and then about 60 .

Anyone going to the Newcastle auction tomorrow? Wonder what will be offered

I will be there ! Bringing Silver Penciled Wyandotte , French Blue Marans , Mottled D'uccle , Porcelian , Milli Fleur and a beautiful Lavender Orpington Roo . All of these are from Breeders , non hatchery .

Hope it is today as my hubby just called and said there was a ton of sellers there but nobody checking in ????

Quote: so just move them to the other bator for lockdown??

One of my hens has gone broody, I have eggs that have been in my bator for three days . Could I take a few of the eggs out a place them with her???
I have done it successfully in the past, usually they will just just scoop them under them

@TRUE5 Can you believe the diff in this boy?? he still tip toes, but is quite a magnificent boy!

Yes , leave them in Brinsea incubator for the 18 days . I ordered a Genesis Hova-bator without a turner for hatching , works great . Is digital so no guessing on temp or RH . Love it . It is big with a window so when they hatch no crowding . The Brinsea has a fan blowing directly on top of the eggs and is way too crowded when they hatch making me want to open it and remove chicks which I understand is a no no .
