***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Don't know if y'all remember, but this is the showgirl(roo from @ksane) x nn cross that was a white chick with black stripes. I am thinking little roo, which is a bit sad because I've found that the silkie/(showgirl) crosses to be the prettiest birds. In face, got my first crow today from a STUNNING blrw/silkie cross. It has the crest of the silkie mix, but the coloring of the blrw. Now that I've talked so much about it, will have to go take pictures...Anyway, the chick in the picture - it has out-thrived all of its hatchmates - the majority of whom are large fowl...but this guy? is just huge!

Well I had a long night. My boxer Scarlett had her puppies. Poor girl is overwhelmed now. She had 9. I'm going to take a nap before heading out to meet @subhanalah

quarantining outdoor chickens indoors in a dog crate is A LOT OF WORK. They ate half their bedding so I gave them a ton of grit, they stand in their food every time I open the bathroom door, and the dogs get so excited because these chickens are more flighty than my cochin and silkie. *sigh*

Wow! Look at him! That's why I love mixes! You don't know what you're going to get until they start feathering in, then every day they change. That Showgirl boy that came from Betsy) was the biggest Silkie I'd ever seen, then add a Naked Neck and you're going to have 1 huge bird lol
