I have LF Cochin, Wyandottes and Orpingtons (and bantam breeds), and I want to make sure I am feeding them the best I can. I currently give them 15% Layers Crumble, also I give them BOSS (although they really don't care for it, but they do love corn chops which I limit to treats) plus they free range when I am at home to supervise.. Any advise woud be great. I currently purchase my feed from Atwoods. Thanks

Quote:&nbsp I wish I knew if mine were pullets or roos. None of them have started to crow yet, and they all look bigger than your boy. If they're all pullets I have a big beautiful black orp that would love a hubby.

I was still going back and forth whether it was a pullet or not until this morning. At 9 wks old he is as big or bigger than my full grown silkies. He came from Heirloom Orpingtons.

Have not tried the Facebook groups yet, I will if I don't get any interest here or Craigslist.

They move too fast to count. ;) I think there are 19 or 20. They are supposed to be pure Pinto and pure Chocolate but I see a lot of variation in the down colors, and both colors were hatching out of both kinds of (marked) eggs.

No matter they are just going to be bug eaters when they grow up. Just weird to me! 1 passed that was born with intestines out the navel, and another pipped then died, 4 more that made it to lockdown never pipped. But I'm pretty pleased with the hatch!

I have hobbles on 10 of them, and had to replace hobbles on 3 already because they keep pulling them off somehow! Moving them to the wire brooder this afternoon so that will give them better grip than the paper towels.
