***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Nice outfit. But he doesn't look to happy in his new suit. Guess he'll just have to get used to it. BTW, can he still do the deed with his suit on?

Depends on the "deed", he can poop, but the other deed he can't do yet w/ or w/o the suit, he has horrible balance.

Major drama here today, Shakespear tried to kill Rudy!!!!! Rudy is now w/ the rabbits we are working on a temporary house for him and I will put one of the small girls w/ him tonight. Trying to decide a more permanent solution and Shakespear's fate.

If you do come to the auction can you please bring a quart of honey for me? Whichever is the most floral. I'll have to remember to pick up some of the BA honey early next year. Coral and Rinda both, let me know if you'll be bringing kids. If so, I might stop and pick up the grandbabies on the way.

Actually, it's possible the outfit is what triggered it. Either Rudy hit a maturity level that ticked off Shakespeare or the outfit changed him enough that he became "new" to the other roo.

Yes, either one was possible. I tried to keep the outfit close as I could to his color to avoid it. Even when I took the outfit off Rudy he still went after him. I have known it was going to be possible from the first and I can't let them fight it out b/c Rudy is completely defenseless. I have no choice, Rudy has to have clothes to have a chance at surviving winter outside. Maybe w/ a hen of his own he will be okay w/ the rabbits until we get the walipini built. That was going to double as chicken home for my naked chickens. The outfit may have triggered it, but I think it was coming anyway.

Yes I've decided I will go to the auction. I cancelled my other activity. I will probably have all my kids with me. Will bring your honey! It's $16.50 for the quart.

Yikes glad you were home to stop it! Is he hurt very badly?

These are my two special pretties- that stayed in the brooder shed until they were like 8 weeks old because I'm scared to death to lose them. They are Rees line Cream Legbars, the only pair that survived the shipments from Florida and a AC outage in the shed this summer. Greenfire Farms won't ship to me anymore, because every box they've tried to send me has been dead or nearly dead thanks to the postal service- so they are irreplaceable.

He is bruised up a few scratches, I think the clothes actually helped protect him Shakespear kept grabbing clothes instead of skin. He had Rudy on the ground and was going at him horribly, I thought there was going to be more damage then there was. We were working on a new area for more rabbits so stopped it before to much damage.

Hopefully they will make lots of pretty babies.

D'oh! I totally forgot I can't bring the girls to Coweta. My daughter started them in ballet... on Saturdays! Mumblegrumblegrump.
