Okay I have a trio of ameraucanas,an ameraucana bantam rooster hatched earlier this yr daddy is the rooster in the trio and the momma was a bantam ameraucana hen then I got 2 ameraucana chicks I believe ones a rooster and ones a pullet but could be mistaken then I got a trio of miner blue white kelso rooster is pure miner blue and pullets are 1/2 white kelso 1/2 miner blue just started laying about a month ago and a red blooded gray cock best offer on the ameraucanas 100 on the trio of minerblue kelso's and 50 on thetree blooded grays the ameraucanas are all a yr or younger other than the big rooster he's 3yrs and the miner blue and gray rooster just hit 2yrs and the miner blue x white kelso pullets are 6-7 months. Good surprise this morning- our Aussie had puppies! 3 boys, 2 girls. There are 3 red merle, 1 blue merle, and 1 black bi.

Well I survived the ordeal, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, I did 6. They were 16 week olds.

Suggestions?
We left ventilation holes at the top but covered with wire. The rain is really getting in and soaking the coop! I still need to paint and add a chicken door so we can keep the big door closed during the cold days. Also, looking for a way to fix the chicken wire on top so it doesn't look so tacky.

Nice thing about chicken wire is it can be tightened by folding areas and lacing a thin wire thru it to hold it in place. Between your PVC pipe framework, you can use a taunt strand of electric fence wire (because of it's steel strength) and tie the chicken wire to it.
Of course your chickens aren't going to notice the way the chicken wire is attached as much as you will.....
