***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I have some LF Frizzle Cochin eggs on there way. I'm very excited. I haven't hatched anything before so I will probably bombard you with questions next week. I also have some Lavender Orphingtons eggs to set. I just got 2 cream legbars from Rinda last weekend and I have a silkie I'm picking up tomorrow. My husband is going to kill me. LOL He says he doesn't mind but we'll see when they all start to hatch...I kinda think he enjoys them as much as I do but just wont really admit it yet.

Sure. If you'll bring her to me, you can choose from my several Delawares, Brown Leghorns, Black Jersey Giants and BSL's that are all 8-9 months old. I do have other hens, but they are over a year old, most others are 16-24 months.
I tried to send you a PM but the system disallows it. I can't afford a phone right now, but I have email. If you want you can email me at

Don't worry, we'll hook him yet... hatchititis is very contagious...

Don't forget I'm holding a little black silkie for you to come get Friday or Saturday! It's a cutie!

That's funny because I bought some of the Orpington eggs from the seller out of Arkansas, and tossed half of them.   I kept smelling something from my bator and found a rotten egg as well, I have never had a rotten egg incubating so I was glad I found it before it burst in the bator.  Must of been some old eggs he was selling.

I bought some of the mixed orpington eggs from the seller in Arkansas.. same eggs? I haven't checked on mine that closely to know if any were rotten. Is it easy to tell?

I bought some of the mixed orpington eggs also, and then some of the chocolate cuckoo orpington eggs. Half of them where not fertile, and I am kind of thinking the others may not make it. Of the mixed eggs, I have a few developing, but the rotten ones where from the mixed eggs.. I am thinking he had a bunch of old eggs he just wanted to get rid of and make some money as well. Hope I am wrong.
