Same with mine. They have a tendency to go broody about the same time if they are penned together. It is not unusual for a Cochin to join another breed on a broody nest. I have a first time mother Cochin who shared a nest with a black Wyandotte hen who was also sitting on her first nest. Between them, they hatched one chick and are sharing the responsibilities. I should have given them eggs to hatch, but with the heat at the time they started, there weren't fertile eggs.Mine growl and fuss but don't peck me.
