***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Just put the last stitches in the new design for the nakeds, well the girls anyway, I will need to make a bigger set for the boys. I have been test fitting them all day different ideas and sizes and construction. Needless to say they do not think they have had a good day!!!! lol I'm about to go out and try the final product on the girls. I will take some pics. They are one piece outfits including body, pants and sleeves, I think the fitting will be much more streamline and solve a few problems I've been having w/ the onsies. mostly the "poop catching" problems at the butt, and the dirt gathering in the loose fitting underside. I may need a sleeveless version for the early autumn, but these ones I made w/ sleeves just incase I don't get much time before it gets really cold.

Cuteness, I'll bet that little serema ends up ruling the booder! lol

These don't fit like I wanted or thought by my prefits, I have some more work to do on them tomorrow tucks and darts to make a better fit.

Getting better and better with the designs, Kass.

Had a nice couple of hours visiting with my friend, Jean, and Rinda and her darling daughter. Jean still has quite a few nice silkies to sell, including her breeding trios. However, she has several people lined up to come out and buy, so they may go fast. Rinda and I both came home with several quite nice silkies, and I also came home with five young guineas to go into my flock.

If anyone else is interested in Jean's silkies, PM me and I'll give you her phone number. She has whites, blacks, blues, splashes and several new colors she's been working on. Very pretty birds!

Have some friends selling our Sizzles, Silkies and a few barnyard bantys for us tomorrow. They will be at the South Coffeyville Chicken Swap about 2:00pm.
Stop by and say hi if you are in the area.

I am a rock star chicken mom today! Found one of the buns dead this am, necropsied him, I had noticed a tumor looking area on his side a few days ago, not open or anything, figured it was CA or an injury absess. Knew I was likely going to have to cull, but had not gotten around to it, he didn't seem to be in pain or distress so wasn't top of my list. Well when I necropsied him it was obviously infection. So I tossed the organs and cut out the infection boiled the carcass basically all day and just got back inside from feeding it to the raptors, "shark week" has nothing on my back yard tonight!!!!!

I messed up this morning and got an escapee from the tractor while cleaning it out. Took a bit and a little comedy but I caught her. She went into the nest box where it's dark and calmed down for a bit then back to normal.
My muzzleloader deer huntings off to a slow start. I hope everyone else has a good one. Post some pics if you get one.
