***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Decided to get the winter feeder done. Gotta seal up the wood around the pvc n get a proper cap (they were out) but this will work and can be towed without moving and fills from the outside.

Good start on the feeder.  From my experience with these kinds of feeders you are probably going to need a higher lip on the front.
You are probably right I'm seeing. I kept the other half of that piece if needed. I also considered adding a small section and forming a trough by cutting it.
If I add another feeder on the other side then it will look like stacks on a diesel when I pull it with the mower lol

Wondering if anyone knows what kind of predator will eat only the neck area (and stretch it out) of a squirrel. I found one in my front yard-I know my cat stalks them but this doesn't look like a cat kill to me but I could be wrong. Id just like to know for the sake of my chickens safety. I know there are possums and owls around but the head was untouched.

And @NanaKat thank you so much for all the seeds! I can't believe the variety and all the detail you put into packaging. Really truly thank you!

Owls will but an owl would carry off a squirrel.

I would guess possum on that kill, if you're sure it wasn't the cat.

Well I have seen the chick stealer. It is a hawk. The darn thing landed on top of the coop and flew into the open door as I waited for my son to bring his gun. Unfortunately it flew away before Cole got back. Down to one chick with the silkie broody :(

Hello Lorrie: Next time shut the coop door, and wait for Cole. Like Trap shooting. When Cody gets ready , and says : " PULL ", you jerk the door open, and stand back.
