How young is to young to give a kid (goat) penicillin? I found one of them half dead a couple of hrs ago laid up by the nanny. The twin is looking fine but he has always been twice as active as her. I brought her in an rubbed on her by the stove, put a couple of cc's of electrolytes down her and now her eyes are fully open with less glaze.
I asked on the goat page but no response yet.
She is about 2 weeks old

Usually after weaned but in this case you might not have much to lose

Will the nanny let you milk her? Even a cup of milk would help. Add a Tbs of honey to the milk.
Need to get her gut moving. Does she graze? Her rumin needs to be working.
Depending on her weight inject 3 cc to 5 cc into the muscle. Penicillin is every day for three days.
May have to worm the baby once she recovers.

I saved my dog from parvo, and what I did was gave her a small dose of pen. And gave her pedialight for babies every hour on the hour for two days, it's sounds like a lot but my animals are my children and wanted her to make it

hello everyone! I have never owned easter eggers be for and heres my question, I already have a rooster a btw Japanese bantam with my hens, are easter egger roosters aggressive? I have one big coop an run and I don't want my little bantam rooster beat up.

Most are not that aggressive. I have noticed that almost all bantam roosters are much more aggressive. When I had various breeds including RIR and Barred rock Roos in the mix I had Japanese Bantams all together. They did free range which always helps having enough room. But My JB's which I got after the rest stayed in their own little group and I didn't have any trouble. I still like those little guys. If they set better I'd still have some.

Well mine are doing much better despite the cold. Changing their food from layer to regular helped during this late molt and the extras suggestions worked like a charm. Some things like oranges they wouldn't touch but they are very healthy in comparison to 3 weeks ago.

What do you all use?

I just get a (non nutrena) bag from titled feather fixer form Orschelyns. I go there because it's closest and the other feed store cost slightly more and has no variety of anything else I might need. You can hit any feed store and ask for feather fixer. Or Atwoods, (up here Atwoods is the most expensive on chicken feed) tractor supply. Whichever you already use should carry it. To me Nutrena is great just not worth the triple price. Although for a 1 bag a year of a certain feed price wouldn't matter that much.
