***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Both of those Toppies are great looking cocks. I wont be going to poops..again. I aint been on the puter in so long and when I got the net back the other day first thing I saw was poops was in a week lol. I will try to make next springs with lots and lots of chicks and eggs for all the hopeless addicts who cant refuse a good deal.

evening guys!! thought you'd like to see one of the dogs after working with her since the coyote attack... i am pretty sure thats what it was based on the chickens first reactions to her... she is so relaxed around them now- i let them out about an hour a day and we guard the flock- she is the day shift and patrols all day-

only once did she show any inclination to go after them and that was when one decided to hustle to catch up with the others- anyway, one word and she relaxed- and this afternoon started circling them when she saw dave trying to herd them in- i think she's a keeper- the other dog is still a work in progress...he is the nite shift and tonite immediately started for the creek- the same area as the first attack....

OKC folks what's the law on how many chickens you can have inside city limits? Also what about surrounding area's like warr acers ect?

Hiya Mike, thanks for reminding me I hadn't thought about those scissors but I will bring a LOT of them and an assortment of all sizes I may not make bundles of them again but there should be a lot good for dubbing or clipping wings with or anything else really LOL

Glad you will be bringing scissors. I am looking for some of the kind that you can use to cut bandages off, with a blunt end and a crook in the handle. I like them for cutting matted hair out of the dog and cat.

by the way - I like your Golden Feather Membership title - and your cool hat

With as many scissors as I have it's kind of amazing that I only have one pair of those and they might work for that, I'll keep them seperate for you. I have a good deal of Misc items like the scissors and hand exersizers/grippers, I assume it will be okay to bring things like that to swap or sell? some is even oddly enough "Poultry related stuffs" LOL Looking forward to see ya there

Drove up to Seminole today to get 2 LGD, dring through town passed the feed store & they had chicks just sitting in the window for everyone to see! Did a U turn in the middle of town. Walked out the feed store with 2 welsumers. They look to only be a few days older than our easter hatch. Driving home I was trying to figure out why we only got 2. Each of my girls picked one out, and I was in a hurry to meet up with the guy who had the LGD that I didn't even think it through! Oh well!

Great job working with your dogs Robin! She does look relaxed with the birds, and it sounds like she has some shepherd in her.

Wayne you may want to get rid of that doe sounds like pasturella to me and it spreads like wildfire to your other rabbits, I have a strict culling policy about anything that has to do with puss and rabbits.

I resemble that remark!

Now that it is time to start collecting eggs for POOPS, my turkeys and runner ducks have decided to quit laying where I can find the eggs.

Of course, the majority of them are setting on nests of eggs at the current time.

i think tink may be a shepherd mix-
it took losing some birds to make me mad enough to look at possibilities- i would trust tink with them, buddy, the night guard isn't quite the same, if i am with him, he is more mellow, but i don't know about his hunting instincts with the flock- but he does ignore waterfowl and guineas- weird dog-when i am shutting the coop up i heard the roo warning and looked over and a black nose was poking in the door...

P&B thats not what I wanted to hear I was hoping to pickup some more turkey eggs this year, last year I bought some and both wafers in my cabinet went out and hard boiled all my eggs.
