We are bringing birds to sell and I am wondering if we will be doing that outside - not sure if I need to bring something to shade my birds?

Saw some Pumpkin Hulsey chicks on rarebreedauctions. Looks like they might be spendy. I need to narrow down the breeds I like, on the other hand, I do like the variety.

I appreciate everyone that is helping to get hatching eggs to me from POOPS. Getting eggs from Carla, hers are wonderful, I have had good luck hatching them before, gonna get eggs from chickensandmore too. old*cowboy is going to be my hero for bringing them up this way. Sure wish I could meet everyone. Would love for my husband to see the processing. He is still on Spring branding at Barby's which is past Laverne, they are in Meade, KS today. He takes vacation to go work. Go figure.

Its funny I am not worried in the slightest even though I know it could go either way when it comes to the body... I explained to Jason last night... scary what ifs like that dont bother me..... because I truly believe that the Lord does not allow anything to touch us that wont be turned for the betterment of who we are in Him and of course what ever result it may be to the expansion of His Holy Kingdom... I have seen plenty of initial scaryness and the result of what the Lord did to over come the "evil" to know this is true for me to have faith in...

Anyhow sorry to respond like that... I may end up using your bator if that darn turkey gets off the nest again... lol

Good morning girls and boys, one more day then headed south. I am excited, this will be my first POOPS and am really looking forward to meeting all you and looking at some good fowl. I was going to get on last night but electricity went out at 6 and didnt come back on till after 2 this morning. I finished the Naked Neck legal notebook that I will be donating to the auction.

As to the turkey eggs, the remaining eggs should hatch within about 24 hours of the first ones laid, if they are the same variety - since she started them all incubating at the same time and they should all have the same general incubation time. If you added eggs to her after she started sitting, those could hatch later, but the turkey hen needs to keep them covered except for short periods.

Morning all, been reading back for nearly two hours now and realized I hadn't even greeted the day. One pot of coffee down another to go then I might start to function again. I like the light rain and heavy fog but wish the sun was shinning at the same time guess we can't have it all just have to take what we can get while its there and be thankfull for it.
