***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Jaxon acquired quite a few birds - a few dollars here and a few dollars there. I don't have clue what we ended up with, but he was so proud to be buying birds "on his own" that I didn't question him much every time he came and asked for some more money.

Thank you again for transporting eggs to several of us from chickensandmore/ Don.

Kwartel - I had honey there but wasn't really peddling it. If folks asked me about it, we walked to the place the honey was "parked" when I arrived this morning, and they got some honey. Just too many things to see and so many folks I wanted to visit with.

I doubt most folks were aware it was available for purchase.

VG, you are the fortunate new owner of TWO of OkCarla & Gerald's frizzle turkey pullets...a splash and a black! I am still at the hotel in Cyril posting from phone...

Momma_raven, mueskey didn't bring birds after all, so we'll have to get a separate chickentrain going for those, but I'm bringingyou the trio of ducks from poultryand bees and the awesome little modern game bantam pair from GotGame. Lots of people asked about them, and you'll be very pleased.

I'm about to head back so I'll call you about noon from the road!

Well we stopped in Conway, Ark and gassed up! Frightening! Thn to Micky Dees for breakfast , Izzy and Livvy had a sausage biscuit! They shard the biscuit with the serama chicks. Issy was helping herself to their part till one pecked her on the nose, now she is hiding from them!lol sunny and bright here this morning, traffic not to bad. Everyone travel safe today as you head Back home

Sounds like POOPS was a success. Teach and his boys came by and picked up a bunch of roos and left me with some parlor rollers. Then old*cowboy transported the eggs from OKcarla and chickensandmore and chicks from Cjarvis back up this way. I am so excited to get my eggs into the incubator.

It went a little south last night when my husband decided to go to Waynoka by himself to pick up everything from old*cowboy. Not 2 miles down the road from our house he hit a doe. Of course it is my fault since the eggs and chicks are mine. OOPS. Truck is still drives, but it is going to cost us the deductible to get it fixed. I have to look at it as "things happen" and go on. I am excited to see the chicks hatch out and see how nice the cochin chicks I got from Cjarvis turn out. I keep hoping that maybe next year I'll get to go and meet all of the wonderful BYC'ers.

I don't think I am ready right now, I will have to get one of those cool automatic pluckers first. Buster would throw that bird in there & less than 5 minutes it was clean!

I just want to post a quick thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who worked so hard to make yesterday happen. All that hard work showed in so many ways.

I especially want to recognize Al. This was my first year being involved, mostly because it was in my back yard and Al is so persuasive, but I was just blown away by how integral he is to the whole thing. He was everywhere! And his organizing skills are just phenomenal.

So, thanks to all, and especially Al. You all did a great job!!
