I believe he has just the one...I want one too but they only live like 5-6 years normally...

Yes, that is the heartbreak with the giant breeds...they just don't live long enough...well, I always think animals and the people we love never live long enough.

I wish I was at home playing with the lil chicks!!

Yea some can live up to 13. its rare but can happen if you pamper them and do certain things

I would still probably get a wolfhound pup if I found a good one, we had a boxer live to be 12 and that is old for a boxer, their hearts normally go out long before then...

Hi Everyone!

I am new to this site and not too sure about posting things but I had to try and tell about my experience. I am VERY new to raising poultry but I ordered 7 Sebastopol Goose eggs from Shay20 on this site. She is in MA (I think) and the eggs had a long way to travel to get to me! I put them under my Brown Chinese goose and she got them started. Two weeks ago something grabbed her off the nest.

One of the eggs got broke in the process. I don't know how many hours passed (probably 12 or so) before I discovered them. They were good and cold but I put them in the bator and I now have 3 new babies

! I didn't have too much hope for them but it worked! All things considered close to a 50% hatch is great! Now if I can get them raised!

Im not sure what my favorite treasure we got home with is yet. I of course always head for Betsy and Carla!! I got a gorgeous pair of splash silkies, a splash showgirl hen, a blue black showgirl hen, and a white showgirl roo from Betsy. From Carla I got a 3 blue naked necks, 2 splash naked necks, and a wyandotte( just because she was pretty . I love my silkies mainly to LOOK at but the naked necks are my egg layers. Maribeth set us up with some beautiful rabbits. I also bought the two minilops from the auction that are cute as cute gets. We got everyone taken care of last night but will need more hutches soon.
