Hi Amy,
Don't forget I've got your cage.
How are the Blue-Laced Red W chicks?

Hi Mj, Chicks are doing good, I did lose one, no idea what happened, they were all fine the night before, went in the next morning and it was laying in the middle of the brooder dead and all of its insides came out of it. Was kind of gross. So that makes 2 chicks I have lost of 43. Both the same weekend of poops, but from different brooders.

I know you have the cage was hoping you could keep it till the next auction, then I can tell hubby we have to go to the auction to get the cage

He seems to think I am out of control!

Coop/run is coming along...maybe I will post some pics

Here are some pics of our run/coop in progress...

This is looking down at it from the barn. The brown building on left will be one of the coops.

Inside the Run we are sectioning into 4 areas that will have their own coops, and one small Broody area. These are the first two that we have finished. The tractor is in one area with the teens as a temporary home.

This is the larger area that will have the bigger coop (brown building) a built up grass area that they can't scratch out the dirt and a couple of dirt bath pools.

Here is a tip for making posts set in the ground last longer. Drill a 5/16in. hole about 4" long and at an angle, just make sure that you don't go all of the way through the post. Fill this hole with Linseed oil and put a cork in it, refill every other year and it will help keep the post from rotting.

Saw this in Mother Earth News years ago.

That is going to be one fine coop and run when finished.

Grace'sDad :

The Durant area missed again. The storms went north and. South of us. So far just some rain

Off topic of weather but what was the web site you reccomended for scanning a computer? This one is running a tad slow and has been since I updated to the new AVG but I know that is probably coincidence.

Gary - glad y'all are alright.
Just got a text from FunChick/Suzie. As Les indicated earlier, they are alright, but have a lot of debris. They are already having to fend off "scavengers" who are looking for usable debris. Don't folks know that if the debris isn't on your property - it isn't yours for the taking!

malwarebytes.org is the site. There is a free version that works great for removing trash.

http://shop.malwarebytes.org/lpa/342/4/7268/free_g.html?x-at=regGcbmd

This link should get you to the free version download.
