***OKIES in the BYC III ***

The same area got hit in the May 3rd storms in Piedmont. One of my customers lost a mare and colt and also the colt's dad. All three were in the barn when the storm hit and took the top off of the barn and the horses had to be taken out through the top of the barn.

You guessed it, six days later the stud was guiding his family back home. They were all pretty beat up but a vet check showed nothing broken and there were not even any real big cuts on them either.

The man and his wife were on a road trip at the time out of state and just that morning they had called the ins. agent and upped the amount of coverage on their ranch. Through the years they had gotten way under covered.

We leave our horses turned out when a tornado warning is issued. I think their chances are better if they can take cover on their own. They seem to disappear when the storms get bad. Hope everyone is ok tonight.

ive been at okracefans house all evening, sw corner of his house is destroyed. everone is ok. All chickens survived unharmed even though all his pens but one small one are gone. Big thanks to Modernman for housing them until pens get rebuilt. brought his chicks home with me to babysit for a while. northern part of Blanchard and Newcastle hit pretty hard.

Checking in.
Glad to hear that everyone is safe. Sorry some of our folks have damage.
We took a little trip to the east since we don't have a cellar.
I was really worried about Les and Teva and Suze and Vern. Glad they are OK.
I wish Steph and Carl would check in. I know one was close to them.
We just had stuff blown around. Some of my outside junk has been rearranged.
I think all of my birds survived.
Again, glad to hear of those that are OK.

Morning all!!! I hope all have weathered the storms well! We had a small tornado in Stillwater but had minimal damages. We are fine here in Morrison, had strong winds and heavy rain but all seems to be good here just wet!!! Coral I am sad to say I lost the Penny Hatch, went out to feed and she was dead in the nest box, no signs as to why she died! Thoughts and prayers going out to those in the paths of the tornadoes!!! Got to go to work, have a blessed day!!! Lynn
