Good looking incubator. I will be curious to know how you like it. I am looking for another sportsman style for my incubator habit, but sure don't want to pay a fortune for it.

The humidity is too much for me too. I Hate that we jump right into summer with very little spring. I don't like the really cold weather at all but 90+ temps and 70% humidity is about to get me down. Especailly since we are still in May.
I guess I have ranted enough about the things I can't change.
As for hens laying, mine have slacked off too. I am gonna put them on a higher protein feed for awhile and see it they pick back up. Its not good to try and have breeding programs and the hens won't lay. It puts a kink in the whole process.
If I wanted bird that don't lay, I'll just get more roosters.
Admit it. You will probably get more roosters just because you like cool ones.
Speaking of incubators, it was mentioned at the last Fletcher auction that there would be an incubator (and a hatcher also?) at the Cement auction this coming Saturday. Does anyone know what kind it is? I would like to do my homework better before bidding very much for one.
I bid on a sportsman style incubator at Blanchard last week, but it was PO'd because he wanted $375 for it

I just replied to a Craigslist ad for someone in Blanchard who has 2 GFQ incubators and is willing to hatch eggs in exchange for 1/2 of the chicks. That might be a better deal than buying another incubator since I don't pay enough attention to the incubators to have a high hatch rate.
Hope everyone had a good day. I moved about twenty ducklings to an outside pen today. They've been making such a mess, and I just can't keep up. Now they have plenty of space to make mud pies, but at night I have to lock them up. I think I actually got scowled at by a few of my waddlers. Can a duckling frown?
