***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Many and obviously well fed!!!!! I would bet you have a big rodent problem too, since they are following the food. They are beautiful, but I would be uncomfortable w/ that many in my yard too.

Well I've been at it again, playing in the dirt. I dug up a corner in the fence line to plant those bulbs and tuber flowers Gary got for me. (I'm really hoping they will make it so far out of planting season). I had started some tomatoes in the house from seed to plant in the garden, but I started them late so they were pretty small, to small for the garden, so I went ahead and dug up the fence line coming out from the corner of bulbs and planted about 30, don't know if they will make it or not, but it is a pretty shaded area during the bad part of the day, and I won't need any tomato cages I'll just tie them to the fence. (they were cherokee purple, mortgage lifter, cherry, and beefsteak)

I'll throw some seeds over where the bulbs are planted to act as a ground cover and just incase they don't make it, there won't be a patch of dirt.

I may have over done the tomatoes this year if everything does well.

Hiya Gang, I decided to post a thread on the preditors link here to share the trap thing it's funny the responses there LOL Cuban found me there, I had posted last year about a couple of my hens being sick and having swollen heads and eyes I'm starting to think maybe they weren't sick as in having some chicken illness but maybe they were just snake bit getting too close to a copperhead, I have had a few deaths in the flock but it wasn't like a sickness that swept through all the chickens and some didn't appear ill at all, I know I've seen a lot of animals recover with out treatment for copperhead and pigmy bites it just never occured to me that it might be snakes that could be the cause of some it the problems I had with a few chickens over the last year but it could be I guess considering how many I may have around here.

Built this folder for Matt (GotGame) off of the picture. Decided to put one rooster up front and bantam in the back, 2 up front would be too much cludder. I think I matched the picture pretty good on color.

Hey Lynn, the eggs I got from you at Poops? What would the eggs marked 'BR' be? Brown Red? I thought one pen was headed by a spangled cock, and one by a pumpkin cock...anyway, one egg is good at day 18, figure they got to dirty due to the massive rains we had...

If they are big ol turkey eggs I would say Bourbon Red, if chicken I'm guessing Barred Rock.

Now to sit back and see if I won a prize.
