. Hoping to get my young ones sold quickly, runnin out of room

Will get the info on the two Meeker auctions for you....have to look it up.

Spent all day moving the growout pen outside after putting a shade cloth over the top. It's a converted pickup pen (from the early 1950s) that has PVC pipe bent into arches to support the chicken wire top. Had to dismantle the baby pens and redo those Purchased some new water and feeds and got the Vi-Tol (gaterade for chickens). Everything was scrubbed, bleached and set up. Everybody is happy beause they get the breezes and have shade. Momma is happy too because there should be no more deaths due to heat stress. I'm pooped.

Hubby and his brother bought and moved big round hay bales for the past three days. They stopped long enough to pull the grow-out pen out of the barn with the tractor and put it in place for me. Then they moved hay bales from the staging area to the final storage spot. They are pooped.

Hubby is taking me out for dinner...sweet man...knew I was to tuckered to make dinner. Will check back in later.

not sure really - but it takes goose eggs between 25 and 34 days to hatch....

well there is still hope then.... with all the losses we've had makes me wonder if she made it through

been a while since I have been on here, just a little busy with clean-up after the storms. The house is probably going to be a loss due to some severe structure damage (mobile home). If this is the case then I may have to sell the majority of my birds, will keep the favs though. We might have to move so I do not want to rebuild coops just to move and rebuild again later at another location. Needing some prayers here.

Why do people dub the roo's?

For exhibition, frost bite prevention, personal preference

And if you let the comb get big enough you can fry them up like pork chops.
