That boy is a sweetie. Of course he complains when picked up but then snuggles right in. Of course that is with Teva, he would probably bite me if I picked him up. LOL

I have him in with the two Toppy hens and then he has one of my largest NN hens and another hen that is NN x bantam Malay that is about the same size as the Toppy hens and she is feather necked. I will get some pictures of them this weekend and post them.

Sooner the way I fasten wire to a coop is to use 1 x 2 strips to sandwich the wire. I also use Gorilla Glue on these strips for max. strength.

Another thing that you could do is to build a "special" chicken tractor. With wire that bites back! Use a constant on controller so the dogs can't hear the pulse but don't do it unsupervised. Bet the dogs are smart enough to only hit it once.

Visited with Monty at the Harrah auction this evening. It seems like there are more people there each time I go. I just wish that I could buy choice out of a cage - instead of buying all 3 rabbits when Jaxon falls in love with one of them.

Monty - the information on the auction list for Cement is actually just the former Fletcher auction with the name changed - so the directions shown are for Fletcher instead of Cement. Also, Cement will be the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, instead of the 3rd and 5th Saturday as Fletcher was.

I am planning to go to Cement tomorrow night. Who will I see there? (besides Peaches of course

Got a great 4'x8' wire pen at a garage sale for $18.00 today. The seller had used it for chickens so it is chick-proofed around the bottom and has a wire top to protect against flying predators. It stakes into the ground and it can be moved easily but I don't know about predators that dig. I atleast can use it for a "free-range" pen. Don't you just love bargains!
