Sounds like a good time to get another steer to feed out to butcher next year. We recently butchered the 3 legged steer I bought at Jones for $105, 2 years ago. Do you think Dean would notice a cow in the pasture with the llamas, sheep and horse?

Maybe I can find a red or brown steer - that can blend in with the llamas and quarter horse. I doubt I could hide it very long however, it will be obvious when it follows the other animals in to eat.

The neighbors cattle find there way into our yard regularly. Just tell him it is the neighbors. He will never know.

Say it was "dumped off", somebody dumped a Creel roo and BR hen in Jack's pasture, even had clipped the roos wings. That creel might have some nice feathers for hair accessories?

We took a quick trip to Joe's cousin's place in Leonard, Texas and I could have come home with an unrelated 8 week old pair of black SQ La Fletch for free! I just didn't know where to house them as I am leaving for Michigan for two weeks tomorrow and DH is going to be taking care of the birds when I'm gone, (going to owe him big time!)

elwood, how's your dog? Making sure she keeps hydrated would be the best thing I can think of, frustrating they always seem to get sick on weekends and holidays, the honey or pedialyte would be good for her.
