I have a Chicken Math testimonial - I started last June with 2 pens, somehow that multiplied into 75 birds.

You may have 75 birds but you still do not have 75 chickens...
We don't count the birds around here.

Jack is in the hospital on some strong Antibiotics. I have been playing that I have big chickens! I got to take eggs out of the incubator and put them in the hatcher!!!! Hope I didn't mess up. Jack hopes to get home tomorrow, if not I get to take chicks to the auction.
For those of you that don't know him Jack is our neighbor that attends several auctions and POOPS but doesn't get on BYC. He has Marans, Welsummers, Americaunas - chickens that do stuff besides look pretty like my Cochins. I still like my teddy bear birds best.
After 5 losses yesterday between my flock and Jack's, no more losses today. Got no rain here but the cloud cover helps. It sure helped me keep cool watering 275+ chickens!

nNaNa that would be Izzy! She had to check everything out and make sure it would fit on the farm!lol I think she keeps hoping I will bring her another friend home.

OKC opened the fire hydrant on the corner about 5 hours ago and it has been going full blast the entire time while a broken main is repaired. It is sad to see all that water going into the storm drain. Sure do wish we could have piped it out to the pasture.

Yes, only Cochins + the one NN that must go to the auction Saturday ( it is a roo).
I have only 8 hens that are laying and 3 of those are sitting on nests and not laying now. They only count if they are laying right? .... so that is 5 but 4 of those are bantams so I have only 1 chicken.

I like this math!
