***OKIES in the BYC III ***

She is & I am proud of her. She is getting very good on picking her best conditioned birds.

This was a county show & we will start the mulit counties soon. As you see the cochin did very well.

Morning folks!

Good to see you on here again Doc! Man I wish I could send you some of this rain. I can't imagine going a year without some rain! I would think the water situation would be at critical levels by now. Hopefully you will get some hurricane rains soon.

Well the two muscovys hatched out twenty all together! Thats not bad,10 for each! The hens are white and the drake is silver but they must have been bred when I got them as there are black and white babys and even a chocolate or two. A reall good variety.

I have 8 g.pigs sold, that puts me closer to the goat I want! Hopefully I will be able to get her this weekend. Haven't decided if I want her kid or not. The guy wants as much for her as the mom. I may try and get another nanny at Elkton instead.
Well gotta run got lots of errands today.

The kid is a female? I'd most certainly get her along with the mom. Females don't ever lose their value, it seems. So even if you didn't want to keep her you could sell her later on down the road. Even "rent" or borrow a male to breed to and not even have to mess with having a male around. The males are kind of disgusting lol

Wow! Hat is a lot of birds to get prepped & take to show! I know her showing is a lot of work on you & her! Glad she enjoys the birds so much & did so well with them. How old is lil sooner?

I see she did do quite well, she is a sister to the blues I gave her and can be used in that breeding without problems, The black pullet is one of the three I had originally set asside for her, ther were all very nice and round unfortunately I lost the rooster and the other pullet.
I expect she will continue to do well with that black pullet as the season progresses, I am sure you noticed all teh new feather growth on her she will be a big ball of fluff once all of those fethers are in. Her head is broad and deep browed. all in all I really liked that pullet and would not have given her up for anyone other than a youth.

She did most of the work. I trim beaks & toenails but most everything else she did.
She is 13 & thank you.

I plan to put the three together & breed them. I still alot to get done before winter gets here. You know she will do better as she gets her feathers. Oh I do have one problem.......all my show boxes are bantam size, LOL! I had to take her in the carrier she came from you in. I will be looking for one.

Oh I also plan to be that way next month. It will be either the 7,8, 9th or 14, 15, 16th. Will let you know.

Check with Michael, he has or had nearly 30 show transport boxes for bantam and standard was asking $5 a hole and many sizes to choose from.

Yes I may do that soon, but right now it would be too hard to get there to get it unless he is at Mary's on the weekend that I come up there.
