***OKIES in the BYC III ***

old*cowboy :

I plan on taking a trio and a pair of RIR bantams to Newcastle Sat. Not bragging, but if anyone looking for some nice show bantamsn. The two little hens in the trio are as nice as I ever seen in RIR. I will also be bringing a few 3 month old asil stags and pullets if anyone looking. They the real deal.

Coming through Perry?

Good Morning!!!

It is starting to rain, thank you Lord! We have a grass fire that has been burning for three days now. I think it burnt 15000 acres at camp Gruber.....won't be much hunting there this year.

I liked meeting you and Dave. I met with Jackie & she has Queenie & Bash now (beautiful birds!), the Silver Laced color is very striking. Someday I'd love to find that color in a standard sized Cochin. I feel for you having neighbors like that. 17 yrs ago we had 4 dogs (the limit in Edmond) and I had my heart set on more. That's the entire reason we got this place out in the country. I hate people telling me what I can have, how many & what fences I can build. Maybe you can research quiet breeds and once the privacy fence is built the nosy nieghbor will be none the wiser.

Good morning! It was the first year I can ever remember not showing at the fair, but I didn't really miss it since I got to judge. It was different...but not in a bad way

The race is on to save the tomatoe plants that are finally utting on tomatoes. The horn worms are all over the vines....got 17 last week and last night found 16 and 5 this morning. Guess I'll pull out the BT when we get back from the dentist. One of those little buggers was only 1/2 inch long and fully formed so I know there will be more surfacing. My chickens don't like the hornworms for some reason...the skin may be too tough....
