***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Can you explain what you mean by no interconnect? Tell me more... please. I can't believe in this day and age they wouldn't let you suppliment your energy use with some solar panels or windmills. That's just wrong. If that's the case, that would be just one more reason to move back to the country!
I haven't done the insulation, mostly because I'd like to redo the duct work in the attic before blowing more in. One more question, I went with very dark shingles when I re-roofed the house. Would that make a huge difference in energy use?

Call me, 405-878-6381 anytime tomorrow..

He noted that he wants to have "a sit down" when he gets home about where we are going to live. He's been thinking about getting a farm. Yaaaa,

Her face doesn't reflect the surpise and happiness she had earlier... long day, little girl. Her reaction was "For me?!?" lol I'd like to add that her chickens were purchased from The Jarvis' flock. Thanks Carl!

Mornin' Okies... big audit today and tomorrow, but I'm new at this place so I'm not gonna feel bad if they fail... I've done the best I can to make sure they don't, but if they do it's because of things outside my (meager) control.

Glad we got the kennel moved last night since it's raining today. One step closer to chickens!

Jan-OMG. I would still be shaking over the news about your son :-O

Jan glad you son is ok!

We are getting a good soaking!!!!! The rain was coming down hard enough to wake me up, been pretty steady the past hour.

Have 36 guineas that moved this wk to a new pen dh built off the end of the barn, they have a 28x28 pen along with a shelter. I put a few tree limbs in the pen for them to roost on, since I knew the shelter would be used sparingly. Sure enough, pouring rain & they were all roosting on the tree limbs sice it was still dark. My girls went & moved them all, told them wasnt necessary since it would be daylight soon & they would move on their own. Really think my girls just wanted to play in the rain & wear their new Boggs.

Last night all the guineas at the barn were chattering & my peacock was honking, they were going at it seemed like forever. Managed to attract 2 coyotes that came all the way up to our barn. Thankfully no birds lost. Dh tried to get them, but no luck. Figure he will be prepared tonight if he rain dries up.

Hope everyone else is getting some good rain!!

Morning

A thunderstorm hit at 2:00 a.m. Our dog woke and barked just before an earsplitting thunder clap. It's been raining steadily all morning. I've been waiting for the sun to come up so that I can feed and water birds without juggling a flashlight.
